No. Riders: 15
Route: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/63477482
First off, if you were the fella on the mountain bike this morning, apologies! It seems everyone thought you were with someone else and as a result no-one had a proper chat, or kept an eye out for you. Get in touch and we’ll make up for it!
Apart from losing a rider early on(!) it was a lovely ride out to Gargrave. The lumps around Cononley were a good new year test, as was 15 riders descending on the café at once. Glad to say everyone passed with flying colours.
After a short break, onwards and upwards, with a return route via the duck pond at Cracoe, and then onto Bolton Abbey. The usual back roads home and a headwind to finish off those who weren’t already finished off by a good 50 miler in January.

15 riders must be a record for the first ride of the year and half decent weather as well. Almost makes me wish i had left the hip op till later, almost. I’m mending well and should see you in February sometime. I keep having an easy 10 mins spin on an exercise bike to try to keep some legs so that I’m not hanging off the back too much when I’m back in the saddle.
Happy new year all
see you ASAP
